Well, the audio book section, where you can find a collection of audio books for download either free or paid was released on Google play in January itself. You can listen to these audio books either on you tablet, smartphones, Chrome Cast, Android Wear or the new entrant in India called the Google Home. As of now in India only the Google home and Google home mini are available while abroad Google has also introduced the Google max. Now, for all of those who are not aware of the usage of Google home, here’s some insight into the product.

Now, once you download or buy an audio book from Google play you can add it to your library on the device Google Home or Google Home mini which more or less looks like a Speaker with some touch screen panel functions. To read a book you simple need to say, OK Google, read my book. You can give commands like Ok Google, stop playing after 20 minutes to put a timer or OK Google, who is the author, to name a few.

In India it’s available primarily in English language but it has already been launched across 45 countries and 9 languages. Additionally one more advantage of it is that it can be used on Wifi to play songs from Gaana and Saavn and at times just try out asking any random questions to the Google assistant who unlike a robot speaks to you just as any living human assistant would do. In case you have more than one Google home speakers at home, you may play on multiple speakers simultaneously as well. What’s more it is pretty user friendly, after all it is your assistant and you don’t need to scream into it from another room to use it as it comes with highly sensitive microphones.

Well, this is one device which may catch quite a few eye balls of music geeks besides bibliophiles because who does not want to be woken up with their favorite song or playlist.
