3 Days Hands-On Training Workshop on Web Development
The Department of Computer Science in association with ENGINOMATIC & DEVELOPHOWTO | INDIA organized a 3 days student development program on Web Development for the Students of 2nd Year, from 4th SEP to 6th SEP 2019 wherein a total of 143 students attended.
The domain Web Development was chosen by the students themselves according to a survey taken by the Enginomatic team.

Day 1: 04/09/2019
Session 1: 10:30 AM to 01:00 PM
HTML:
The following concepts were taught during the session
1. What is HTML?
2. A simple HTML document.
3. HTML TAGS
4. Page structures.
5. HTML5 New Concepts
6. Form elements (data list, output), aside, header, footer, nav, figure, canvas, audio, video.
7. Hands-on Examples.
Session 2: 01:30 PM to 04:30 PM
CSS Basic:
Adding CSS to HTML (inline, internal, external), background, border, margin, padding, height, width, display, position, combinators and pseudo classes.
Day 2: 05/09/2019
Session 1: 09:30 AM to 11:00 AM
CSS Advanced:
Gradients, shadows, web fonts, transition, 2d transforms, animations, media queries.
Session 2: 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
JS Basic:
Adding JS to HTML (internal, external), variables, operators, arithmetic, data types, functions, conditions, loops.
Session 3: 12:30 PM to 01:30 PM
JS Intermediate:
Alert, prompt, element selectors (by tag, id, class, using querySelector, querySelector vs querySelectorAll), style, adding and removing attributes.
Session 4: 02:00 PM to 04:30 PM
JS Advanced:
addEventListener (click, keydown, mouseover), form validation (length, intro to regex, checking password strength), ES6 concepts (let, const, arrow functions, classes).
Day 3: 06/09/2019
Session 1: 09:30 AM to 11:00 AM
Bootstrap Intro:
Installing Bootstrap, buttons, alerts, grid, form elements, modal.
Session 2: 11:00 AM to 01:30 PM
ReactJS:
Installation (nodejs, react, and visual studio code), ReactDOM.render(), JSX, components, props, state, lifecycle (mounting, updating, unmounting), form handling (onClick, onChange, onSubmit).
Session 3: 02:00 PM to 04:30 PM
HandsOn:
1. How to create a Github Profile and update files.
2. Built a personal portfolio website.
Post the completion of the workshop students are now able to create their own web pages.
The Enginomatic team has recruited 10 students as Interns based on their performance during these 3 days.
