Expected Outcome:
Description: Students and faculty members are given an introduction and awareness on “IPRs, Patent and Copyright”. They were sensitized on “How to apply their Engineering Knowledge / newer technology to innovate new product or service to solve societal problems and How to convert the new idea into a prototype. They were brainstormed on how to register their idea or filed as Patent through IPR Policy of Controller of Patents office, Govt of India.
Dr Prasad Rao O has narrated the steps involved in making the prototype into a product to be saleable in the market. Resource Person also clearly explained the difference among Trademark, Copyright protection and Patent.
