Educational Outreach Program 2020
Rajarajeswari College of Engineering is celebrating the “International Women’s Day” by conducting EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PROGRAM Organized By WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL, at Government High School, Shyanaboganahalli, Ramanagar Taluk, Ramnagar Distict on 11/03/2020.
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” 1. Education: They make people aware of the options they have 2. Outreach: They directly engage with their target audience
On arrival we were cordially received by the School Headmistress and Staff. We had a brief discussion with Headmistress regarding facilities available in the school.The School is located in beautiful place in the outskirts of the village. We began our outreach program by conducting the following activities. To begin with ,Tenth standard students were made aware of Higher education /competitive exams, Scholarships availability by Prof. Preethi A Nayak followed by Vedic Maths and Probability by Dr. Savitha B. This was followed by activities for Eighth & Ninth standard students, which included
• Pick & Speak By Prof Jyothi A.P
• Essay Writing and Painting(Topic:Nature) by Prof.Nandini N. , Nandhini.G Sunitha.R
• Quiz on General knowledge by Prof. Ashiwini Patil
Students were very attentive, receptive and interactive to the information provided by the faculties.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of the activities. The program ended with awareness on COVID-19 and followed by distribution of fruits, chocolates and pens. We conveyed our heartfelt thanks for the cordial welcome and for the wonderful cooperation.
