MoU with Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association
With the support of Management, Principal, HOD-Mech, Faculties, the Department of Mechanical Engineering signed Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) on 11th February 2021, 3.05 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. The resource person Mr. M Krishnamoorthy, Sr. Director Training, IMTMA delivered the lecture about “Employability opportunities in Manufacturing Industries” and explained the various programs such as foundation course on Industrial Automation, finishing school in Production Engineering, 200+ focused technical programs on design, productivity, quality, maintenance, metal forming, emerging technologies, CNC machining and e-learning courses conducted by IMTMA to the gathering. He pointed out the benefits obtained by the students because of this MoU.
Benefits to be obtained from this MoU
1. To cater to the need for enhancement of the skillsets of fresh graduates in Mechanical Engineering and to mould them into “Industry Employable”.
2. Value Addition Trainings, Guest Lectures, Seminar orientation programmes to recent Industrial Practices, Industrial Visits, Placement Assistance will be organized.
3. Pre-final and final year Mechanical Engineering students will undertake the various courses and programs such as foundation course on Industrial Automation, finishing school in Production Engineering, 200+ focused technical programs offered by them in the disciplines of design, productivity, quality, maintenance, metal forming, emerging technologies, CNC machining and many more and students can visit the industries and gain knowledge.
Signing MoU with IMTMA leads to create an avenue to gain knowledge, create job opportunities for the students in the manufacturing and related industries, create opportunities to interact with various experts in the field of manufacturing and technology.
